Why The LA FiT Program Makes Sense for Your Church
Unlock significant benefits with zero upfront investment. Under the LADWP Feed-in Tariff (FiT) program, we install solar carports on your leased parking lot space at no cost to your church.
1
Guaranteed Lease Income
Receive a fixed annual lease payment for 20 years, providing predictable revenue.
2
Shaded Parking Lot
Enhance your property with shaded parking for guests, members, and employees – a valuable upgrade for your site. This includes under lighting for security at night.
3
EV Chargers
Multiple EV chargers are installed at no cost, as required by LADWP (covering 25% of parking spaces). Your church retains 100% of the revenue from these chargers, creating an additional income stream.
We manage all utility negotiations and solar system upkeep, ensuring reliable long-term cash flow with zero operational responsibility for your church.

Donated Solar System for Your Church
Keen Energy is pleased to offer your church a gifted rooftop solar system, installed at no cost. Sized for a 100% energy offset of your house meter, this system will deliver immediate and long-term electricity bill savings. It will be installed on the roof closest to your existing house meter.
1
Complete Energy Offset
System sized to offset 100% of your house meter's electricity usage.
2
Immediate Bill Savings
Significantly lower your monthly utility expenses from day one. Estimated 75% off of electric bills - from the 1 bill we received.
3
Growing Future Value
Annual savings increase as utility prices are estimated to rise yearly. Next slide shows CONSERVATIVE - 4% increase per year in bill savings due to rising utility prices.
4
Seamless Setup
Designed for straightforward interconnection to your existing house meter.
For detailed savings calculations and financial projections, please refer to the next slide.
Note: This proposal covers a single house meter interconnection. Multiple meters are separate and not included.

Construction Phases & Parking Management
We understand your church needs continuous access to parking during construction. Here's how we manage the construction process to minimize disruption while keeping your parking available.
Rolling Phase Construction (No Additional Costs)
Rolling Phase Construction
Continuous sectional work (rolling phases)
On-Site Equipment
Equipment stays on-site throughout project
Continuous Access
You'll always have adequate parking available during construction
Flexible Scheduling
We coordinate with your church schedule and events
Constant Communication
Regular updates on which sections we're working on and when we'll switch
Rolling Phase Example
Here's how sectioning works: We can section off the construction area row by row. Areas shown in yellow remain available for parking, while we fence off and work on the construction zone. During planning, we'll detail how many weeks each section takes and coordinate switching dates.
When Change Orders Apply

Change orders are ONLY needed if you require us to completely demobilize (remove all equipment and leave the site entirely) and return at a later time. Rolling phase construction and parking accommodation are included at no extra cost.
Our Commitment
Guaranteed Parking
You'll never be without adequate parking spaces
Faster with Full Access
Construction goes quicker if we can access the entire area, but we work with your needs
Detailed Planning
We'll create a detailed timeline during the planning phase showing exactly when each section will be worked on
No Surprises
All sectioning and parking management is standard - no additional fees

Change Order Impact on Lease Payments
We want to be completely transparent about potential, though highly unlikely, scenarios. Our team conducts thorough due diligence, and we always have contingencies in place to minimize any unforeseen costs. E
$100K Change Orders
Equals -$4K/year impact = $26K/year lease payment
$200K Change Orders
Equals -$8K/year impact = $22K/year lease payment
$300K Change Orders
Equals -$12K/year impact = $18K/year lease payment
Every 100k in unforeseen Change Orders = -$4k off the yearly lease payment.
The probability of encountering $100K+ change orders is <2% likelihood, and $200K+ is <1% likelihood.
Even in the extremely rare event of significant change orders, the long-term financial benefits over 20 years remain highly favorable for your church.

Contract Protection: If the project becomes non-viable due to unforeseen change order being so high the lease payment would become negative, your church can walk away with no financial harm or obligation.
Flexibility: Should the church choose to withdraw for any other reason during the design phase, only minor administration & design fees would apply, ensuring minimal risk.
Page 16
CONCLUSION: A Clear Choice Opportunity
Your Expected Outcome (>98% Probability):
With less than 2% chance of change orders over $100,000, your church stands to gain significant financial benefit. Based on detailed projections including $30,000 annually for 20 years, plus donated NEM system conservative savings and EV charger revenue profit, here are your expected combined revenue and savings:
$1,548,756
20 Years
Combined revenue and savings, with $30,000 annual lease payment.
$2,134,252
30 Years
Long-term combined revenue and savings, demonstrating extended value of NEM & EV system.
This Projected Outcome is Actually Your Minimum because:
  • NEM system continues producing savings for 30+ years
  • EV charger revenue continues beyond 20 years
  • Potential lease extension if LADWP continues their program
Even in an Extreme Scenario:
If a massive $300,000 change order occurred (we cannot envision what would cause this - perhaps unforeseen underground utilities requiring LADWP line relocation), the impact on your total benefit would be a reduction of $240,000 (-12k * 20 years = 240k). Even then, your projected totals remain substantial:
$1,308,756
20-Year Extreme Case
Total benefit after a hypothetical $240,000 reduction.
$1,894,252
30-Year Extreme Case
Long-term benefit after a hypothetical $240,000 reduction.
Our Commitment:
  • We will do everything in our power to avoid change orders
  • Comprehensive due diligence has been completed
  • As a Christian company with Christian owners (Keen Energy), we are committed to giving back to the church
Bottom Line: This project is a clear choice investment in your church's financial future.
Page 17
Act Now: Time-Sensitive Opportunity
This opportunity is time-sensitive due to upcoming changes in key incentives that are foundational to the financial viability of these solar projects.
Impending Deadline
Construction must begin by next July to secure current tax credits.
Expiring Incentives
The "Big Beautiful Bill" is reducing tax credits, which underpin project feasibility.
Complex Process Ahead
Significant time is required for permitting, engineering, and contracting before construction can start.

Due to these factors, we have a limited window to move forward and capitalize on the full financial benefits.
